Volunteer Opportunities at White Whiskers

Volunteering at White Whiskers Senior Dog Sanctuary is a meaningful way to spend time with some of the sweetest souls around — our senior residents. We currently offer two main types of volunteer shifts, and both make a huge difference in the daily care and comfort of our dogs.

Sitting With Dogs (Social & Enrichment Shifts) These shifts are all about companionship and connection. Volunteers help our residents transition to the sanctuary environment, feel loved, and relaxed through:

  • Gentle playtime
  • Cuddles and quite companionship
  • Helping dogs settle into this new space
  • Cleaning up potty accidents (pee/poop happens!)

Feeding Shifts (Morning & Evening Care) Feeding shifts are a vital part of our daily routine. Volunteers help ensure every dog receives their meal and any meds.

  • Morning 7:50am
  • Evening 7:00pm

Once you attend Orientation you will be assigned a coach who will train you on the type of shift you are interested in.
