March was a whirlwind, but we made it through, and weβre so excited to welcome April!
This past month brought a big wave of new arrivals to the sanctuary. We opened our doors to Sassy (Wirehaired Terrier), Woody (Beagle), Gerry (Shiba Inu), Willy (Beagle), Kira (Miniature Pinscher), and Hershey (Chi/Dachshund mix). Each one came with their own story, their own needs, and their own personality and as you can imagine, it made for a very full (and sometimes hectic!) few weeks.
But this is exactly why weβre here.
Through the busy days, the learning curves, and the constant movement, one thing never wavered: the incredible support of our volunteers. This work simply would not be possible without the people who show up day in and day out, those who are learning alongside us, stepping in wherever needed, and pouring their time and hearts into these dogs. You are the reason this sanctuary continues to run, grow, and provide a safe place for seniors who need it most.
As we head into April, weβre feeling grateful, energized, and ready for whatβs ahead – for the dogs in our care and the community that makes it all possible.
