June was a month filled with sunshine, new beginnings, and heartfelt moments at White Whiskers Senior Dog Sanctuary. As summer arrived, our senior dogs & volunteers made the most of the beautiful weather, enjoying leisurely walks, relaxing afternoons in our shaded backyard under the trees, and plenty of time soaking up the fresh air. These simple moments bring so much joy to our residents and remind us how important comfort and love are in their golden years.
June also brought a few new furry faces to the sanctuary, each beginning their own journey toward safety, healing, and unconditional love. We were equally thrilled to celebrate several wonderful adoptions, watching deserving dogs find the families they had been waiting for. While we also experienced the heartbreak of saying goodbye to two beloved residents, we are grateful we could surround them with compassion, dignity, and love until the very end.

Through every happy milestone and every difficult goodbye, we are reminded why this work matters. None of it would be possible without our incredible volunteers, donors, supporters, and community members who stand beside us every step of the way. Thank you for helping us give senior dogs the second chances—and the peaceful, love-filled lives they deserve.
