Chico (little grey Chi) is the last of the original 6 who came in from a hoarding situation almost a year ago. Neko was one of these as well as Henry, Lucky, Noel, Bambi. Chico is finally warming up to some of the other pups. Here he is with Remy, a puppy mill survivor. Β
Here are some reasons you should get involved with us⦠In 2025 (our first year of operation) we:
We adopted out 24 of our sanctuary senior dogs into loving, permanent homes.
Provided medical care for them, including vaccinations, dentals, and wellness checkups on all of our past and present residents.
Spayed and neutered 4 seniors.
Brought in 8 dogs on euthanasia lists from 3 shelters.
Brought in 6 puppy mill senior dogs who, without us, would have been destroyed due to their age and their no longer being able to produce offspring.
Hosted visits from organisations that serve developmentally and/or physically disabled adults 14x.
Conducted two pet loss group grief sessions and will now proceed with those on the third Saturday of every month. (Free and open to the public.)
Held a Christmas Dog Parade at the Brothers of Mercy Sacred Heart Nursing Home and Memory Care Unit.
Began our senior facilitiesβ outreach program.
Conducted a very successful holiday food drive for our surrounding neighbors and the Tonawanda Reservation.
Held a banquet for Veterans living in a nearby homeless shelter and sent them all out the door with toiletry kits, baked goods, puzzle books and more.
Partnered with several schools Β on various projects and student enrichment programs.
White Whiskers – People helping Dogs; Dogs helping People. That is our motto! Β And, by the way, none of this would have happened without our donors and WONDERFUL volunteers!!!!!!
